Claire Bingham | Headshots & Personal Branding

I first worked with Claire for a family shoot at her house. Back then I rarely did family shoots at home, preferring an outdoor location, but when she said she was an interior designer / journalist I sensed I was in for a treat.

I'm jealous of people who know how to do interiors! Just because I'm a photographer, doesn't mean I know how to be artistic in all areas. Interiors is definitely not a skill of mine. I noticed in Claire's house how she could somehow put a pile of books on a shabby old stepladder and it looked utterly stylish. I don't know why, but I know that if I did the same thing it would look like I just hadn't tidied up!

Claire needed some personal branding for her forthcoming series of books on interior design. We went for both environmental portraits in her back room and also simple portraits - to get some variety for various uses across her books and website.
